Start for freeThe Awakening: Breaking Free from Societal Conditioning
For most of his life, Chris Walker operated from what he calls a "version 1.0 operating system" - driven by fear, scarcity, and a sense of urgency. He felt controlled by time, always behind, and at the mercy of external circumstances. This is the lowest level operating system that around 70% of humans function within.
Chris had built a successful 8-figure business with hundreds of employees, thinking that more followers, money and employees would bring happiness and fulfillment. But he realized that putting external things in charge of his self-worth had made him a slave with no control over his own reality or emotions.
When his business revenue started declining in 2022, Chris's sense of self-worth plummeted along with it. This is a common experience for many entrepreneurs - tying their identity and value to the success of their business.
But this crisis became a catalyst for transformation. Chris began to see that he could control how he felt, regardless of external circumstances. He realized we don't see the world as it is, we see it as we are. Our internal state colors our entire experience of reality.
Breaking Down the Old Structure
Chris reached a breaking point where he recognized that everything he had been told and sold for the first 32 years of his life was no longer working:
"I've chased this for so long. I've done everything I'm supposed to do. I feel like I have no time freedom, no social freedom, no location freedom. Sure, I have money in my bank account, I have followers, but I feel like I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do. I don't feel creative or free."
He began dismantling the rigid structure he had been living in. The first step was putting his business partner Megan Bowen in charge of his company Refine Labs. This allowed Chris to step into the role he was truly meant to fulfill, rather than trying to be the CEO out of ego and need for control.
In 2024, Chris started a new AI software company called Petto. Around this time, he began having profound spiritual experiences that opened him up to higher levels of consciousness:
"My fingers started to tingle at 2:00 in the morning, then it felt like there was electricity running through my veins, then it felt like this massive overpowering level of euphoria and then it felt like time stopped and I accessed the future."
He was able to energetically perceive future events and built an entire 5-year business plan in just 5 minutes. While Chris had experienced similar phenomena before, he now began to recognize them as significant and talk openly about these "superpowers."
Accessing Higher Consciousness and Intuition
As Chris leaned into these experiences, they became more frequent and intense. What used to happen randomly every few months now occurs every 3-7 days. He describes accessing expansive visions of the future and tapping into profound wisdom and insights.
One of these visionary experiences led to the inception of Encoded - a 10-20 year vision to help humanity evolve beyond current limitations:
"It continues to break down the current reality that everybody lives in that is controlled by currency, authority, government, societal conditioning, terrible education systems that program all of these powers out of kids and people."
Chris sees humanity diverging into two paths - those who become more robotic and AI-integrated, and those who elevate to levels of human potential that can't be replicated by computers.
While this paradigm shift may seem scary intellectually, Chris emphasizes that it is actually "the most powerful, blissful, incredible thing ever." The real challenge is looking in the mirror and facing the things blocking us from experiencing our full potential.
Removing the Blocks to Our Innate Powers
Chris believes all humans are inherently capable of accessing higher states of consciousness and abilities. However, there are many layers obscuring our true nature:
- Unhealthy habits like alcohol, drugs, excessive sitting, porn, and artificial dopamine hits
- Societal conditioning and programming that we follow unquestioningly
- Doubting our intuition and talking ourselves out of what we know we should do
- Identifying with limiting stories about ourselves (e.g. "I'm an achiever" or "I'm a peacemaker")
- Trying to control everything out of fear
- Tying our worth to productivity and achievement
As we remove these blocks, our innate powers naturally emerge. Chris likens it to cleaning a dusty mirror - we're simply revealing what was always there.
The Calibrated Mirror Concept
Chris introduces a fascinating concept he calls the "calibrated mirror." Imagine 100 people in a room who have no ego or agenda - they simply reflect back the pure truth of whoever looks at them. If one selfish person enters, everyone would instantly perceive their nature without a word being spoken.
While most humans don't have this capability, there are some who act as "calibrated mirrors" - able to reflect back someone's true nature without distortion. Being around such individuals allows us to see ourselves clearly, including the things holding us back.
Eventually, Chris believes more people will develop this ability to act as clear mirrors for others. This will enable profound and rapid transformation - no lengthy healing journey required, just a clear reflection of who we really are beneath the conditioning.
Discerning True Intuition from Mental Noise
For those beginning to tap into their intuition, it can be challenging to differentiate between true inner guidance and mental chatter. Chris offers some insights on discerning genuine intuitive hits:
- True intuition feels pure and non-physical. There's no physiological sensation like an increased heart rate or blood pressure.
- It may come as a clear thought, a magnetic pull, or just a deep knowing.
- As you remove internal distortions, the signal becomes clearer and more frequent.
- Trusting and acting on intuitive guidance strengthens the connection over time.
At more advanced stages, Chris experiences physical confirmations like energy pulses in his body when he's on the right track. He can also sense resistance as pressure or discomfort, signaling when something isn't aligned.
Embracing Quantum Leaps Over Incremental Progress
One of the most counterintuitive but powerful shifts Chris has made is abandoning rigid planning and scheduling in favor of following his intuition in each moment. He no longer uses a calendar or makes long-term plans.
Instead, he remains open and responsive to intuitive guidance, taking inspired action immediately when he feels called to do something. This allows for "quantum leaps" rather than incremental progress:
"Since I've shifted to this, I believe I get 10 to 100 times more done in 10% of the time. My output has 100x to 1000x what I used to do when I had a full calendar six or seven days a week."
While this approach may seem chaotic, Chris finds it infinitely more productive and creatively fulfilling. It requires trust and a willingness to let go of the illusion of control that a packed schedule provides.
Overcoming the Victim Mentality
For those feeling stuck in unfulfilling jobs or life situations, Chris emphasizes the importance of taking responsibility for our choices and beliefs:
"As long as you buy into the victim mentality of 'I don't have any control over any of these things,' then you will remain trapped."
He encourages people to question limiting beliefs like:
- "I can't pursue my dreams because I have kids to support"
- "I need this job to pay the bills"
- "I can't take risks or make changes"
Chris points out that he started his company with very little money, selling his car and getting a roommate to make it work. While it required sacrifice, it allowed him to create the life and business he truly wanted.
The key is recognizing that our thoughts and beliefs shape our reality. When we shift from a victim mindset to one of empowerment, new possibilities open up.
Embracing Discomfort for Growth
One of the biggest obstacles to change is an unwillingness to experience temporary discomfort or loss of status. Chris observes that many people won't:
- Sell their house and move to a smaller place to fund a business
- Give up luxuries like an expensive car to invest in their dreams
- Step back materially in the short-term for long-term gain
This attachment to external markers of success keeps people stuck. True growth often requires a willingness to let go of the familiar and embrace uncertainty.
We All Have Innate Powers
Chris emphasizes that he isn't special or uniquely gifted. We all have incredible innate abilities and potential waiting to be unlocked. The difference is in our willingness to do the inner work of clearing away conditioning and trusting our intuition.
By sharing his journey openly, Chris hopes to inspire others to explore their own latent powers and break free from limiting beliefs. While the path isn't always easy, embracing our true nature leads to levels of fulfillment, creativity and impact beyond what most imagine possible.
The key is believing in our own potential and taking inspired action to bring it forth. As we do our own inner work, we naturally inspire and elevate those around us - creating a ripple effect of human evolution and unlocking new possibilities for our collective future.
