Mahidol University has unveiled a game-changing addition to its campus facilities – the Co-MU Space. Dream, a representative of the university, invites us to explore this modern co-learning environment that promises to transform the way students study and interact.
A Versatile Space for Varied Activities
Spanning a generous area of 1,400 square meters, Co-MU Space is more than just a library extension. It's an all-encompassing zone that includes:
- Large-size meeting rooms for collaborative projects and discussions
- Group seating to facilitate teamwork
- Individual workspaces for focused study sessions
- Relaxation corners to unwind and rejuvenate
State-of-the-Art Facilities and Design
With a focus on modern design and a stimulating atmosphere, the space is fully equipped to meet the diverse requirements of university students. The inclusion of Class Cafe near the entrance adds a layer of convenience, serving a range of beverages and snacks for students on-the-go.
Accessing Co-MU Space
To access this innovative space, students have two options:
- Use their student ID for entry
- Utilize the 'We Mahidol' application
The Buzz: A Dynamic Zone for Interactive Learning
'The Buzz' is a unique area within Co-MU Space where a moderate noise level is acceptable. It offers:
- Flexibility to sit in groups or alone
- An abundance of power sockets for electronic devices
Secure and Convenient Storage
Students can benefit from self-service lockers, which are free of charge and come with a secure locking system to safely store their belongings.
The Maze: A Quiet Haven for Concentration
'The Maze' is the tranquil counterpart to 'The Buzz', specifically designed for privacy and intense focus. Despite its compact appearance, it houses over 77 individual study spaces.
The Tower: A Restful Retreat
At the heart of 'The Maze', the central tower stands as a sanctuary for students needing a break from their studies, offering a space to relax and recharge.
The Platoon: Customizable Group Study Rooms
'The Platoon' caters to larger study groups, offering private rooms that can accommodate up to 34 people. These rooms can be divided or combined to suit different group sizes. Reservations for 'The Platoon' rooms are easily made through the university's website.
Accommodating Diverse Needs
Co-MU Space also respects the needs of its diverse student body by providing a dedicated prayer room for Muslim students.
Extended Hours for Round-the-Clock Access
While currently operating during library hours, plans are in place to extend Co-MU Space's availability to a 24/7 schedule, offering students unparalleled access to its facilities.
